Comedian Kathy Griffin found herself in a bit of hot water after the backlash following her recent photo shoot with Tyler Shields, where she is pictured holding a severed head of a Donald Trump look-alike. She promptly apologized to Trump’s family and the public for her actions, but it wasn’t enough to put a stop the Internet’s wrath. Since the incident, Trump and his supporters have been continuously trashing the comedians name, and it’s gotten to the point where several of her upcoming shows, including those at the New Brunswick’s State Theatre and Staten Island’s St. George Theatre, have been canceled.

“The St. George Theatre does not endorse the actions or beliefs of any of its performers,” said a Facebook post by the venue. “Ms. Griffin’s recent actions have severely inhibited our ability to fulfill our mission as a non-profit theatre serving the Staten Island community.”

Griffin’s attorney Lisa Bloom smelled hypocrisy in the air, citing several male artists who also used graphic imagery in relation to Donald Trump, without receiving scrutiny from the public.

“Many male artists have created far more disturbing imagery. A Marilyn Manson music video shows him beheading a Trump figure,” said Bloom. “The band Municipal Waste has an image of Trump with a bloody gunshot to his head on a band t-shirt. The band G-W-A-R has violent images like this of president after president for years. They’re all just considered bad boys. Unlike these male artists, Kathy apologized. Unlike these male artists, Kathy has endured the most powerful man in America and his family using their family to target her and her employees, after she apologized.”

In a Marilyn Manson video, a Trump look-alike is pictured being gruesomely killed. GWAR also shot a video where Trump and Hillary Clinton engage in a bloody, decapitating battle. The group even took to to their Twitter to tweet “GWAR doesn’t apologize. Ever,” and band member Beefcake posted a video to Facebook, unapologetically addressing the drama. Check out the entire video below.
